How Many Types Does Cast Steel Shot Have?

1.Steel pills: hardness of iron and steel pill is generally HRC40-50, processing hard metal, can increase the hardness to HRC57-62. Their toughness is better, the service life is several times than cast iron pills, and it has wide application.

2.Cast iron pill: its hardness is HRC58-65, very brittle and easy to break, short life, application is not extensive. It is mainly used for place which require high shot peening strength.

3.Glass pill: the hardness of glass pill is lower than the above two pills, mainly used for stainless steel, titanium, aluminum, magnesium and other non-permissible iron pollution, it can also be used for the second treatment after steel shot peening, to remove iron contamination and reduce reduce the part surface roughness.
